La Prosperidad

This is my capital of the New World, home to 1,800 jornaleros, 3,000 obreros and 12,000 artistas. To preserve the island’s beauty, the city follows a minimally invasive approach, spreading only across the flat terrain. The jungles and wild rivers remain largely untouched. A massive fortress divides the city: artists, administration and culture lie west, obreros east around the Hacienda. Jornaleros live in a remote jungle settlement. Nothing is produced here; the island lives on the surplus of the industrial and agricultural islands. A cultural district surrounds the dam.
