The service

Karto lets you browse a public archive of player-submitted city builds, and, if you'd like, submit your own with screenshots, a description, and details about mods used. Submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly.

Accounts

You can submit a build without an account. Creating one lets you track your submissions and manage your profile. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us if you think it's been compromised.

You must be at least 13 to create an account.

Your content

Screenshots belong to their builders — submitting one doesn't transfer ownership to us. By submitting a build, you grant Karto a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and reproduce it on the site (and in reasonable promotion of the site — a social post, for instance) for as long as it's published.

You confirm that:

• The screenshots and description are your own work, or you have the right to share them
• Your submission doesn't infringe anyone else's rights
• Nothing about it is false or misleading

You can ask us to take down your build at any time — email us and we'll remove it.

Acceptable use

When using Karto, you agree not to:

• Submit content that isn't yours to share, or that infringes someone else's rights
• Submit anything illegal, hateful, or deliberately misleading
• Try to bypass the review queue or manipulate what gets featured
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure
• Scrape the archive at volume without asking first

Moderation

Every submission is reviewed before publishing. We can reject, unpublish, or remove a build at our discretion — most often for not meeting basic quality or content standards, but we don't owe an exhaustive list of reasons. If we reject your build, we'll tell you why.

Trademarks & affiliation

Disclaimers

Karto is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Builds are submitted by other players — we don't verify their claims about hours played or mods used beyond what's reasonably visible in the screenshots.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Karto and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Termination

You can stop using Karto and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, particularly around content rights or abusive behavior.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. We'll update the date above, and post a notice for material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

Karto is currently run as an independent, personal project rather than through a registered company. If that changes, this section will be updated with the applicable entity and jurisdiction.
