Hippodromus Ripae

To make room for this centrally located stadium, I had to clear the most intricate and fine-grained part of the city centre – the former Old Town. Unlike the rest of the capital, it did not follow the city’s octagonal layout. Today, the Hippodrome stands alongside the Temple, Colosseum and Forum at the heart of Cinis, stretching along the riverbank.
